Hailing from Melbourne, HECATOMB formed in 2018 as a duo of guitarist Rick Warkill and vocalist/bassist/drummer Mangressor. Loose and lawless, Horrid Invocations presents one berzerker attack after another, swift and salacious at five songs in 22 minutes, as the duo detonate vulgar malformations of black, death, thrash, and unapologetic METAL. It doesn't relent; it doesn't sound nice; it doesn't care for your comfort. Borne out of the members desire to see a resurgence of a heavier, more dissonant style of Death Metal back in 2006, Ignivomous were among the first wave of bands to reignite interest in the genre in the first decade of this century. The band started its fateful voyage into void in 2015 when a first demo was released, commencing the dour march toward the shaping of their formula of Death Doom. After a well received debut album, an ep and a couple of splits, it is time to let Into Coffin engulf us again into a threatening turmoil of suffering. With this new album the German trio create a 74 minutes-long churning maelstrom of burdensome blackness; while keeping their approach and sound untouched, the final result is incredibly darker than ever. The horror and suffering perpetrated here is build upon repugnant riffs from sulphurous mazes and pummeling drumming. Aggression balanced with unfathomable and uncomfortable stall.

While maintaining the massive wall of sound by the early 90's scandinavian overlords IRON FLESH is not willing to go down as merely tribute to ancient times. They display an amazingly varied songwriting that reminds a lot of classic EDGE OF SANITY magic. Whereas the faster material tend to incorporate sharp melodic riffing that UNANIMATED or CENTINEX in their prime could not have done better, IRON FLESH also delivers some of the finest DEATH-DOOM ever to come out of french soil.
